Eric L. Kelly

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

As a strategic, global technology thought leader, Eric Kelly has over thirty five years of experience in developing accelerated growth strategies, improving profitability of complex global businesses, organizational transformations, technology and business innovation, corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions and cybersecurity. In addition, he has over fifteen years of board experience which includes public companies trading on the U.S. and Canada stock exchanges, private companies, universities and foundations.

Prior to his current position, he served as Chairman and CEO of Sphere 3D a publicly traded virtualization software company.

His earlier executive positions have included Vice President and General Manager of Storage Systems Division at Adaptec Inc., a Fortune 1000 company, President and CEO of Snap Appliance acquired by Adaptec; President of the Systems Division at Maxtor Corporation, a Fortune 500 company; Enterprise Vice President at Dell Computer Corp., and Vice President of Strategic Sales at Hitachi Data Systems. Mr. Kelly also held executive-level positions with Diamond Multimedia, Conner Peripherals and IBM. Mr. Kelly is the former U.S. advisor for Nomura Securities Venture Group, a leading global investment bank with over $360 billion in assets.

Mr. Kelly was appointed by President Obama for an 8-year term to the Executive Office of the President of The United States Counsel of Advisors on Science, Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Steering Committee. United States Secretary of Commerce, Penny Pritzker, appointed Mr. Kelly to the U.S. Department of Commerce Advanced Manufacturing Council where he served as Vice Chairman of the workforce sub-committee from 2013 to 2016. Mr. Kelly is currently the Chairman on the Board of San Jose State University Tower Foundation and serves on the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Advisory Council.

He earned a B.S. degree in Business Management from San Jose State University, a MBA from San Francisco State University and an Executive MBA from Harvard University.
