The next release of Overland-Tandberg NEO Series tape automation products will take advantage of LTO-9 enhancements which deliver increased capacity, performance, and functionality for businesses looking to better manage data growth and reduce storage costs.
As with previous generations of LTO technology, the new LTO-9 tape products will be backwards write/read compatible for one generation. All LTO-9 drives support 256-bit AES hardware encryption and WORM for regulatory compliance. LTO-9 tape drives are compatible with LTFS (Linear Tape File System) technology. The Overland-Tandberg LTO-9 tape drive is available with either a 12Gb SAS or FC-8 Fiber Channel interface and will be offered in standalone and automation configurations.
NEO Series LTO-9 – Increased Capacity and Speed
The new Overland-Tandberg LTO-9 tape drive will deliver up to 18TB of Native cartridge capacity (45TB compressed) and a native transfer rate of up to 400MB/sec (1,000MB/sec compressed), simplifying data protection and archiving operations.

Overland-Tandberg LTO-9 HH tape drives, tape automation and media products release will be available through the Overland-Tandberg established channel of distributor and reseller partners.
